Description
A creamy cream cheese crab filling in a crispy and slightly chewy wonton wrapper. You will most definitely want to make this for your next gathering or just for a nice snack. Be careful though, they are really addicting! I found myself “trying” them as they came out the fryer just to make sure it was safe to eat
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 block 8oz cream cheese
- 1/3 cup kewpie mayo
- 5 oz crab
- 5 stalks green onion
- 1/2 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp ground white pepper
- 1 tsp sugar (optional if you like it on the sweeter side)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, add softened cream cheese and mix until smooth.
- Add Kewpie mayo, garlic powder, sugar, soy sauce, and white pepper and mix well.
- Throw in crab and sliced green onions. Gently fold everything together.
- Take your wonton wrapper and lightly wet the sides with water.
- Add about 1/2 tbsp of filling in the middle. (You can use less but not more or it will explode while frying). Fold the opposite corners into a triangle. Take the remaining 2 corners to meet the middle. Pinch everything together trying to squeeze out any air. Repeat until no more filling is left.
- Heat oil to 350°F. Fry for 3-5 minutes or until golden brown. Take it out and drain any excess oil with a paper towel.
- Serve with chili sauce and enjoy while it’s still hot!
